SCHNEIDERS dedication to the environment

SCHNEIDERS Corporate philosophy has always included a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment in which they operate. Their ecological thinking and business actions show that throughout the company and in their product concept and design the protection of the environment is high on their list of priorities. Whilst planning their products, they pay particular attention to their products durability, meaning the products last longer and therefore create less waste by not being discarded quickly. They select raw materials with the greatest care and in their factories, they use power generated entirely from hydropower, as well as producing their own energy with a photovoltaic system. At both manufacturing sites the sprues of the writing instruments during the injection moulding process are automatically ground and thus recycled directly. SCHNEIDERS products and packaging are free of PVC and colorants containing cadmium.

EMAS validation four times in a row!

In June 2008, SCHNEIDER received the fourth EMAS revalidation in their factory in Tennenbronn and the second in their manufacturing plant in Wernigerode. This validation also includes an ISO 14001 certification. SCHNEIDER are a member of the German Environmental Management Association (B.A.U.M) SCHNEIDER are the first and so far the only writing instrument manufacturer to hold the EMAS certification. This is not surprising as they are very dedicated to the continuous improvement of direct and indirect environmental services, the environmentally friendly handling of natural resources, efficient use of energy as well as the reduction of waste emissions.
